The 2nd International Conference, hosted by the Communication and Media Psychology Lab of the Department of Communication and Media Studies of the NKUA, within the context of the European project UNINTEGRA, will take place in Athens the 19th April 2019. The aim of this meeting of experts and organisations operating in Greece, Spain and other countrie is to share good practices and potentials regarding Education (morning panel) and Employability - Work Orientation (afternoon panel) to support the Economic Integration of Refugees in Greece within the current and emerging socio-economic context.
The UNINTEGRA Integration Training Programme of 80 hours duration delivered in Braga (Portugal) from 4th to 29th March ended with the participation of 9 asylum seekers and refugees that were provided with information, resources and suitable skills through the development of three specific modules: Linguistic Support, Psychosocial Integration and Educational Opportunities and Labour Orientation.
The Integration Training Programme organised by the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela in Vigo has closed today, 27th March. An average of 10 asylum seekers have attended the training sessions delivered between 13th and 27th March,dealing with rights and obligations affecting the applicants to the international protection status, access to employment tools, social support resources as well as educational, cultural and linguistic issues.
The Integration Training Programme organised by the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela in this city, has been closed today, 12 March. 24 people applying to the international protection status in Spain have taken part in this training activity, which has been led by five trainers with specific expertise in legal, social, labour, cultural and linguistic issues.
The Universidade do Minho has launched, in the framework of workpackage 6 of the UNINTEGRA project, a training activity addressed to asylum seekers, refugees or people who have been granted the subsidiary protection. This course will be delivered in Braga from 4th to 29th March 2019, including training in three specific modules: 1.Portuguese Language; 2. Rights responsibilities and psychosocial integration; and 3. Labour market and educational opportunities.
The Universidade de Santiago de Compostela has launched the Integration Training Programme, an activity including training actions in two Galician cities, Santiago de Compostela and Vigo, addressed to provide asylum seekers and refugees with specific knowledge and information aiming at facilitating their integration and inclusion in their local host communities. A training itinerary of 40 hours each action, focused on strengthening skills and capacities of asylum seekers and refugees, has been planned. The topics to be taught have been organized in five modules dealing with: rights and obligations; social, health and economic resources; promotion of access to employment; linguistic and educational guidance; and collective self-management initiatives. The Integration Training Programme aims at tackling a minimum of 20 beneficiaries in Galicia.
