A series of workshops focused on social inclusion and integration are foreseen and being organized in the framework of the UNINTEGRA project in Greece, in order to provide improved skills to those people working or dealing with the real situation of the refugees.
During the first months of the UNINTEGRA project the ACSAR Foundation has been actively working to recruit, select and train the participants for the forthcoming stages in Greece to support accompaniment, empowerment, and activation of refugees in Greece.
The first prototype for App4Refs was launched in coincidence with the “International conference on best practices for the promotion, social inclusion and local integration of refugees”, organized in the framework of UNINTEGRA project the 14th and 15th June 2018 in Athens. App4Refs is a tool that is predicted to greatly enhance the goals dealt with in the Conference.
More than 150 participants attended the two-day International Conference on best practices and innovative tools for the promotion of social inclusion and local integration of refugees. The conference was organized on June 14th and 15th 2018 by the National Kapodistrian University of Athens and ACSAR Foundation. More than 20 presentations filled up a two-day program. The presentations revolved around sharing, transferring, and discussing the best results for NGO and governmental projects addressed in Greece, providing innovative results and practical tips on how to better improve and push forward social inclusion and social integration of refugees in Greece.
The kick-off meeting of the UNINTEGRA project was held in the premises of the National Kapodistrian University of Athens (Greece) the 22nd and 23rd January 2018. A total of 15 representatives of the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela, the National Kapodistrian University of Athens, the Universidade do Minho, the Fundació ACSAR and the Fundació Universitaria Balmes (UVic-UCC) attended the two days general and specific working sessions dealing with the six work packages of this initiative.
